FULL MOON on November 14, 2016 (Supermoon).
The event will occur at 8:52 (Toronto time.)
When the moon (whether full or new) coincides with the moon’s closest approach to Earth, perigee, Supermoon occurs. The Super Full Moon looks 12-14% bigger than its counterpart, the Micromoon. Apparently, November 14 Supermoon will be the closest to Earth since January 26, 1948, and the next Supermoon only happens on November 25, 2034.
This Full Moon will be in fiery Aries (ruled by Mars which is currently very strong in Capricorn), opposing the Sun in Libra (ruled by Venus which is in another fiery sign Sagittarius); Rahu from Leo aspecting the Moon and the Venus creates more drama, illusions and chaos…
What does this mean to us? Fire fire fire… and more fire. Sensual Venus and emotional Moon will have to combat, or rather balance, exploding energies that are disguised as confusion and fears. For many this will be the time of high energy, proactivity and productivity. However, closeness of the Moon to us under too much energy could create situations where sparks are difficult to control.
If you don’t feel on fire enough, wait – this Full Moon will be in the Lunar mansion of Krittika, governed by Agni, the fire God! Sharp razor, or blade, is the symbol, giving us a chance to cut through illusions, shame, fears and guilt.
Notably, it is said that on this Full Moon Lord Shiva overcame demon Tripurasura, – hence the hint – we gain the power to cleanse our longing souls of their shadow parts that no longer serve us.
Basically, we will be dealing with naked truth, and burning glooms of guilt, shame and doubt. Supermoon gives more energy to shine light onto the parts that we have been so carefully hiding from others and from ourselves – it is time to get those babies out and deal with them, for better or for worse.
As a result, Anger, Aggression, Grief, Denial may come to the surface, but guess what, that is for good! – it is to recognize and to dissipate these destructive energies.
Until mid December, as the planets are sandwiched between Rahu and Ketu (except the Moon which brakes the cycle for two weeks), confusion, conflicts and discord will be taking place, globally, and individually.
But remember that it is not as bad as it seems – sometimes the times of upheaval are necessary to heal, to rise, to gain wisdom, to grow.
The next several days, up to Wednesday-Thursday, is an opportunity to put fears and confusion aside and rise to your mission!
